a walk through chicago

Chicago inspires me. It’s always been the “big city” to me growing up and a place filled with memories. I still get butterflies when I visit and I always leave feeling full of life.

The architecture is beautiful and the pretty blue skies on that day didn’t hurt either. Here are a few more photos I snapped while walking around Wicker Park and Bucktown after Renegade Craft Fair.

The last photo is peering into Grassfed, a restaurant I definitely want to try next time I’m there. I’m loving the decor!

Do you have a city nearby that inspires you?

xoxo

P.S. My ballet flats are from J.Crew.

  1. I love this, it’s always cool to see your own city through someone else’s eyes. Chicago was the big city to me when I was growing up as well, so when I packed my bags and moved into a dumpy apartment on Addison St at 18 it was definitely with lots of hopes and dreams. Now it will always be home to me, no matter where we happen to live at the time.

  2. What beautiful architecture shots! Love those pretty old buildings.

And I’m even more crazy about the wall-mounted succulents! Those are amaze!

We’re going to San Francisco this weekend – definitely one of my favorite “inspirational” cities. :)

  3. I just moved to chicago from San Francisco in July and It’s been a great (but different) experience. I truly miss my “little big city” of San Francisco and being able to literally get anywhere in 30 minutes, but Chicago has been super fun to explore. It’s really going to be fun documenting the seasons changing. Glad you enjoyed Chicago in the nice weather before it gets coooooold.
