DIY advent calendar

Well I know it’s December 1st, but have you made an advent calendar yet? It’s not too late! Here is the advent calendar I made this year as part of a post for The Neighborhood. The calendar is a fun twist on a traditional advent calendar in that each day features a different act of service! It’s a simple way to make sure you give back this season and I had fun coming up with all of the ideas.

Plus, I designed it as a free printable so head on over to The Neighborhood to check it out and download!

Besides the printable, all you need is a bulletin board (or something to display everything), mini kraft envelopes or sacks, and white card stock. I also painted the frame of the bulletin board white and lined the back with black paper so that the envelopes really stand out. There are so many other ways you can personalize it to your fancy. :) I love that the stripes on the printable and numbers make it a little graphic and modern.

Hope you’re inspired!

P.S. The Neighborhood has been cooking up some great DIY ideas for the holidays this year, so be sure to head on over to get inspired!

Sorry to hear that Suzanne! I wonder why that is…I just double-checked and clicked on all the links so I’m not sure what the problem is. Was it a link to their home page or to the specific post? Thanks!
