a new year

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I can’t believe it has been this long since I last wrote…this might be a first! I decided to take a break from blogging and it turned out to be longer than I expected, but it was super nice to take a break from the computer, quiet my mind, and relax at home with family. It was wonderful. 2012 was an interesting and unexpected year.

I’m hopeful for 2013 and new beginnings. For some reason I have a feeling it’s going to be a big year.

Erin’s post about “slow blogging” really hit home for me. My hope for the blog this year is to be about thought and meaning and quality over quantity.

Thank you so much for joining my journey in 2012. I hope you’re having a great start to the year and getting back into the swing of things (clearly, I’ve been a little slow myself). Cheers to a happy new year!

xoxoxo

P.S. If you’re writing thank you notes after the holidays, I created a free printable card for The Neighborhood!

  1. Happy 2013, dollface! I’m with you about the slow blogging movement. I started naturally doing that this past year and it’s felt really, really nice. I blogged when I felt like it and that was that. In all honestly, all of my very favorite blogs post less than they did in the beginning–i’ve noticed a shift and I like it. Quality over quantity for sure, but perhaps more importantly, living over computer-ing.

  2. It’s great to take a break sometimes. The longer the break the better, too. I’m excited to see what you do this year, and your new look! :)
