Today we have a new Dream Job interview (just in time for the holidays!). The interview is with the wonderful Emily Liebl, the woman behind EL Vintage. Once a Midwesterner (she’s originally from Milwaukee, where I live!), she now lives in Los Angeles. Emily is a woman with a big heart, an eye for vintage. and a true passion for what she does. Her personality and energy are infectious and it’s clear that she loves what she does! A big thanks to Emily for taking the time and I hope you enjoy this glimpse into her business, style, and space! xo

funny illustrations

How was your weekend? I was happy to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather we’ve been having. A drive through the country to view the changing leaves was just what I needed, and I’ll be sharing photos tomorrow. :)

I stumbled across artists Marc Johns and Thomas Slater at different times but I just love both of their styles and humor! I have a weakness for clever, quirky illustrations like these.

Marc Johns sells prints and I seriously want his “okay let’s do this” print for my workspace! I also love the “don’t forget to play” print, too. :)

xo

P.S. Happy October (however that happened)!

words to inspire // 01.

Happy Thursday! Today is the first edition of our new words to inspire series! (If you’re new here, it’s a continuation of my down to business series with Molly Jacques…)

“I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.” – Van Gogh

What beautiful words! Have you ever stopped and noticed what causes moments of artistic inspiration? Lately I’ve noticed that I’m most inspired to create when I’m investing in relationships…when I’m giving & receiving love or witnessing sweet acts of kindness and compassion. I think true artists are finely in tune with their emotions and use those feelings (both positive and negative) to only further inspire their work.

Van Gogh was indeed a brilliant man.

What do you think? Have you ever noticed this?

xoxo
