color: pink & blue

I’m super inspired by these dreamy pink and blue pastel hues. Whether it’s in the Audrey Grace lookbook, or pretty styling by Charlotte Love, this color combo is definitely on my radar.

Isn’t it stunning?

the jungalow

Have you seen the home of Justina Blakeney? She calls it the Jungalow and it’s basically amazing. Here is how she describes it:

“Our space is all about creative reuse, personalization, vivid colors, bold patterns, worldly and thrifted finds, and lots and lots of plants–Jungalow style is tropical and bohemian, very vintage and very cozy. Jungalow is about bringing the eclecticism of nature and the wild–indoors.”

When can I move in? Check out her blog as well; I’m a big fan!

black & white

Nothing like a black and white home to calm my mind during a particularly busy week. The home of Kristina Stark in the south of Sweden was originally built in the 1800′s for a sea captain’s family. I love the idea of moving into an old home with a story and transforming it into a modern and minimal style.

white walls

Jennifer of A Merry Mishap recently set out to remove all visual noise in her home. She took almost all of their possessions and put them away in a cabinet. She wrote that she hasn’t missed anything yet and I find these photos of her space so soothing. Then when she brings objects back out, she sees them in new places and likes them more than buying something new. What a refreshing idea!

So often while I am working, I get distracted by visual noise, aka clutter. We’ve been married about a year and a half now and I feel like we have collected so much STUFF. I’m ready to simplify and this weekend we’re having a rummage sale with friends Caroline and Jayden. Provided I can get everything ready by Friday, this will be a massive sale! I’m also cleaning out my closet and selling a ton of clothes. So if you’re in the Milwaukee area, come look for treasures and stop by on Friday or Saturday! I’ll post more details later this week.
