Maybe I’m late to the game, but I thought I’d share some inspiration for the Olympics. Have you been watching the Olympics? I have to admit I’ve become a little obsessed. It’s so amazing to think about everyone around the world tuning in. My favorite is gymnastics: I always loved watching when I was younger and if you follow me on Twitter, you know I’m all about it. I was so happy for Gaby Douglas last night! (But I wish Aly would have gotten a medal…) I have a couple friends that are in London right now and I can’t even imagine. It’s gotten me thinking about my family trip to London a few years ago and I’ve been reminiscing by looking at old photos, like the one above that I took of Tower Bridge. It’s such a wonderful city!
Happy weekend! We thought about taking a spontaneous camping trip and then we thought about all of the work and packing it takes (ha!) …so we’re taking a day trip instead! We’re headed north on Lake Michigan. I’m so excited to get away from the computer and go hiking on Sunday!

There are so many uses of pretty tape for DIY projects that it’s almost unreal. I’ve been thinking about a project involving contact paper, but mt tape could be a fun alternative! It would require more time, but we’ve all got more of that, right? ; )

Happy Monday to you! I took a break from posting earlier today in honor of my birthday. : ) I’m starting to feel better and it was still a great day spent at home with Hubs spoiling me. We’re such homebodies and I really love having quiet days at home. I’m also going to have a belated birthday style post coming up, so stay tuned!
For now, a little Unhappy Hipsters for a smile. I’ve written about them before, and they published a book in October, called “It’s Lonely in the Modern World.” I definitely need to get my hands on a copy – a must have for any Dwell Magazine fans! Have you read it? xo
