Maybe I’m late to the game, but I thought I’d share some inspiration for the Olympics. Have you been watching the Olympics? I have to admit I’ve become a little obsessed. It’s so amazing to think about everyone around the world tuning in. My favorite is gymnastics: I always loved watching when I was younger and if you follow me on Twitter, you know I’m all about it. I was so happy for Gaby Douglas last night! (But I wish Aly would have gotten a medal…) I have a couple friends that are in London right now and I can’t even imagine. It’s gotten me thinking about my family trip to London a few years ago and I’ve been reminiscing by looking at old photos, like the one above that I took of Tower Bridge. It’s such a wonderful city!
Happy weekend! We thought about taking a spontaneous camping trip and then we thought about all of the work and packing it takes (ha!) …so we’re taking a day trip instead! We’re headed north on Lake Michigan. I’m so excited to get away from the computer and go hiking on Sunday!
But first, Blog Brunch is tomorrow! We’re talking about reader engagement and I hope you join us!
Have a great August weekend and see you back here on Monday!

There are so many uses of pretty tape for DIY projects that it’s almost unreal. I’ve been thinking about a project involving contact paper, but mt tape could be a fun alternative! It would require more time, but we’ve all got more of that, right? ; )

Who didn’t dream of Swiss Family Robinson?
…Then I found this vacation rental. Perhaps it’s meant to be?
Happy Monday! xo

Happy Monday to you! I took a break from posting earlier today in honor of my birthday. : ) I’m starting to feel better and it was still a great day spent at home with Hubs spoiling me. We’re such homebodies and I really love having quiet days at home. I’m also going to have a belated birthday style post coming up, so stay tuned!
For now, a little Unhappy Hipsters for a smile. I’ve written about them before, and they published a book in October, called “It’s Lonely in the Modern World.” I definitely need to get my hands on a copy – a must have for any Dwell Magazine fans! Have you read it? xo

…take a quick minute to fill out a survey to improve the blog?
Even though I’m under the weather and taking a break from blogging this week, I’m still around (ahem, Twitter) and I’d love it if you took a few minutes to take a survey for Inspired to Share. I’m dreaming big for 2012 and I’d love to hear your thoughts & opinions as to how I can bring you more of the content that you’d like to see!
So, would you please take this quick 10-question survey?
Many, many thanks in advance! xoxo

I’m freaking out about David Shrigley‘s hilarious public art in the UK. I would like to sit near one of his pieces of work and people watch…
What do you think? xo
P.S. David Shrigley’s illustrations.
P.S. I’ve got an awesome Dream Job interview tomorrow that you won’t want to miss! xo
