two years

Two years ago today I married my best friend. I was told that time would fly by and it definitely has, but I can’t help but pause and remember the joy and excitement that we felt on that day. Our wedding was magical and I love thinking about it, but really it’s the day-to-day moments in our marriage that are even more special. So much has happened in the past two years and life sure is an adventure, but I cannot imagine living life with anyone else. I am so grateful for our journey so far and I wouldn’t change a thing.

We’ve been celebrating our anniversary with a vacation in California (I hope you’ve been enjoying the guest posts!) and it’s been absolutely wonderful. With each day I appreciate our marriage and what we have more and more.

Cheers to love and many more years ahead! I love you, Nick.

xoxo

one year ago today

A year ago today I was marrying this incredible man that I now call my husband. We were best friends and a year later we are somehow, inexplicably more in love. To celebrate our wedding, I’d love to share some photos that haven’t yet been published online.

These photos captured our wedding perfectly; my heart swells when I think of our day.

xoxoxo

brides magazine

“You’re in Brides Magazine!!!”
My friend texted me this a few days ago.
Um, you’re joking, right?
Well as a result, I got into a complete tizzy, rushed from store to store, and only found out that the new issue wasn’t yet in stores. Since then, I discovered that it’s officially for sale, and I finally got a copy into my own hands. I had no idea this was going to happen (our sneaky photographers thought they’d surprise us!) and I just can’t believe it!

So the story goes: someone from Brides Magazine saw the work of our awesome photographers featured on Inspired Bride, and they asked them for a photo to use in their midwest feature. Ba-da-bing-ba-da-boom. There we are. Crazy. I don’t want to make a huge deal out of this, I just knew some of you might like to know. If anything, I just want Paper Antler to continue getting the attention they deserve. Also, yay midwest!

P.S. If you’re new around here, I recently got married.

our wedding: the reception

At last…the final installment in our wedding series…the night I kept saying, “This is the best night EVER!”…the reception! It was at our favorite French restaurant and where my sweet husband proposed. The setting of our reception was important to me and I am so grateful that we could have it at the gorgeous Sardine, which inspired my French vintage theme. I absolutely loved having it at a restaurant where you can work directly with the manager (a big thank you to Susan!) to make all the details come together. We also were able to collaborate with Chefs John and Phillip to create quite possibly the most delicious meal we’ve ever had (they are so talented!). The reception was as fun as it looks and we are still dreaming about the amazing meal.

P.S. Our best man gave the most incredible speech, well performance, I’ve ever heard. Sadly, we don’t have it recorded in its entirety, but you can hear the highlights at the end of our wedding video.
