Jonny + Michele Hoffner are our friends, wedding photographers, and the faces behind the boutique lifestyle photography business Paper Antler. They’ve been married for three years and are one of the cutest, coolest couples we know. They recently left the States and embarked on a trip around the world while taking photographs. They also actively support an organization that fights human trafficking called She Dances. Next year, they’ve set out on a mission: to photograph 50 weddings in 50 weeks in 50 different states to raise $50,000 for She Dances. It’s called the Fifty Nifty and it’s incredible. They’re so close, too, so if you or someone you know is getting married next year, then check out their route! So, without further ado, I’m excited to introduce Jonny + Michelle…
How charming is this? I absolutely love the concept of “Southern Meets Minnesota” and this photo shoot was executed by a team of awesome. (Seriously.) As a midwesterner that has lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota, I’d say these photos represent the friendliness the down-to-earth demeanor of Midwesterners beautifully. I only wish it were that warm year-round…
My friend Hollis was recently married in Madison, WI (the same wonderful city that we were married in!) and with the same talented photographers and florist. We’ve talked about her vision and planning here and there and it’s just so fun to see it all come together! What a beautiful, beautiful day! I can’t get over all the little details that make it playful and fun. Her friend designed the bridesmaid dresses (I remember the sketches!) and isn’t that pattern awesome? And the necklace? Swoon! Plus, Hollis designed her own invitations and paper goods (she’s an aspiring graphic designer), and I love the simple text phrases like, “We don’t like to pick sides, please sit wherever you’d like” and, “Take a favor and feed the birds!” Oh my, little touches like that make my heart go pitter patter. Then there’s the vintage postcards in lieu of a guestbook, framed vintage photos of family on their wedding day, and that sparkler exit! The cherry on top. Congratulations, Hollis + Nick!
Hey hey! Remember me? I know I said I’d be taking a break this week but I just have been dying to share this project with you. Our friends and wedding photographers (remember how they recently rebranded?) are embarking on an incredible adventure in 2012. They are going to photograph 50 weddings in 50 states in 50 weeks. They’re calling it The Fifty Nifty. And on top of it they are going to donate $50,000 of their profits to She Dances, an anti-human-trafficking organization that helps women in Honduras. Even cooler? They are in Honduras right now visiting their safe home there! I am just so inspired by their talent, ambition, and passion to give back. Please watch this insanely adorable video and spread the word! xoxo
Our wedding photographers recently rebranded! Don’t you just love their new logo? I know they are destined for great things and it’s fun to see them go in this exciting, new direction. Congrats, Jonny and Michelle!
