present & correct

It seems that everyone is talking about back to school and the closest I’m going to get are these cute supplies from present & correct. This London-based shop is full of useful items that are great motivation for getting organized. I also love their product styling! And how cute is that LCD rubber stamp?

P.S. Yesterday I was on my friend Trina’s blog, La La Lovely. If you haven’t met Trina, she is incredibly sweet and her pretty blog is one of my favorites! She started a new column called Monday Mess and I love the authenticity behind it. I had so much fun putting this little feature together! Read more about my mess here. And be sure to check out Trina’s blog!

I recently came across these hand dyed and painted tees by Rachel Rose and I had to stop and stare. Aren’t they beautiful? The work and care that goes into making each piece of silk amazes me. Check out Rachel’s shop and blog. This tee is my favorite.

art & fashion mini-series // 01

(Image credits: Tory BurchAmanda Catherine Designs)

One of my lovely sponsors, Amanda Catherine Designs, is launching a fun new set of prints this summer all inspired by fashion. I love Amanda’s bright, playful style, and her shop is full of affordable art prints with inspiring words and colorful patterns. We decided to do a mini-series here on the blog; I’ll be sharing the fashion inspiration behind Amanda’s design on the day each print is released!

The first one is inspired by a dreamy Tory Burch Rolene top and I just love Amanda’s interpretation with this “let your mind wander” print. Wouldn’t it look so cute in a workspace?

Here’s a little bit about the series from Amanda:
“I was looking at all of the incredible prints and color combinations coming out this season and thought it could be a fun challenge to translate some of my favorite pieces into prints. Some of my finished designs came out as more of a literal translation while others were an abstract interpretation of what I was seeing. What first drew me to most of the pieces I chose were the colors. For each design I tried to pull ideas from every style present this season… retro prints, neons, florals, and tribal designs. While all are very different, each piece gifted me with an idea and I love how they are turning out. This is the most fun I have had designing so far.”

Our mini-series includes three prints and will run through the end of summer. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Be sure to check out Amanda Catherine Designs on Etsy!

hound s/s 2012 collection

Yep, I’m obsessed. I kind of want everything. And while I know it’s made the rounds on the blogosphere and Pinterest lately, I still just had to share the spring/summer 2012 lookbook from  HoundHound (don’t you love the name?!) is a Chicago-based apparel brand (close to me!) that has received a lot of press in the last year. I just love their playful style, geometric designs, and beautiful use of color.

Check out their shop and blog. How about some confetti with that adorable polka dot dress?

oh snap / jen gotch

I’m pretty much obsessed with the new archival print shop of Jen Gotch’s polaroids with the clever name Oh Snap. Jen takes photos that are whimsical and happenstance, unique and effortless. She’s not only a photographer, but also co-founder of ban.do; I can’t get enough of her LA style.

Check out Oh Snap by Jen Gotch!

the raddest coffee shop

This is the raddest coffee shop! I especially love the communal tables for working. I think I would get a lot done at Toby’s Estate in Brooklyn. Just saying.
