I know it’s silly to be so excited about this, but I wanted to share with you that I’m going blonde! While I love my pixie cut, my hair color has been feeling blah lately. For my entire life I’ve had brown hair with occasional golden highlights. I’ve never considered going blonde before and recently after this post a couple people suggested I try it. So I thought, why not?
Clearly, Michelle Williams is huge inspiration for this change. ;)
I hope to share photos soon, if you’d like to see!
xoxo
P.S. While searching for photo credits, I read that Michelle keeps her hair short because Heath Ledger loved it. Isn’t that the sweetest thing?

I’m reading The Happiness Project so this might be why I have happiness on the brain…
Guess what? Being happy is productive. When we’re happy and we continually pursue what makes us happy, we are capable of such incredible things! Not to mention, we’ll be more focused, fulfilled, and productive!
In an effort to be happier, I’m trying to more conscious of how often I smile throughout the day. It not only lifts our mood, but smiling can even help us live longer. : )
Thanks for your sweet comments on my personal post this weekend; they mean so much.
I’ll be launching a new series soon!!!

I finally watched My Week With Marilyn last weekend, specifically the Director’s cut. It was so fascinating! As you probably know, I am a bit obsessed with Michelle Williams (I just love when people tell me I look like her!) and her portrayal of Marilyn is outstanding. If you’re interested in learning more about Michelle, I also discovered this great article on GQ.

I don’t normally get to into awards shows like the Oscar’s or Grammy’s but some years (like this one) I really enjoy watching fashion at the Oscar’s, from spotting trends to the combined forces of fashion designers, makeup artists, and stylists.
I thought my girl Michelle Williams looked spectacular as usual, though I didn’t love the pink lip and clutch. Other favorites were Rooney Mara, Natalie Portman, Tina Fey, Rose Byrne, Cameron Diaz, and Maya Rudolph.
Also, I need to watch Bridesmaids again.

She’s my style icon. I love these polaroids from a recent shoot that she did for Boy by Band of Outsiders‘ spring collection, photographed by Scott Sternberg for NY Mag.

I’m getting my hair cut and colored tomorrow, just in time for Altitude Summit. I’m trying to decide all of my outfits for the conference, and boy, the pressure’s on! I know everyone will look smashing. Below are two of my style icons, Audrey Tautou (and Hepburn too, of course) and Michelle Williams, rocking the pixie cut that we share. This week my friend saw Michelle Williams in person and then absolutely made my day when she told me I look like her! She’s such an inspiration for me. xo

Aren’t they amazing?
